Comparative law notes
Under the German concept, the term covers the right to be free and clear of any interference with life, bodily harm, health, freedom, property (ownership) and other rights such as lawful possession, right to run a business, general personal self-determination and privacy right (Persönlichkeitsrecht) and the right to parental custody, where such inference would give rise to a tort claim under sec. 823 (1) of the German Civil Code.
