I am increasingly concerned by the number of decisions that are coming to the parliament at first reading. There can be up to three readings of any piece of proposed legislation.
(UK) one of the three stages during which a bill (=proposed legislation) is debated in Parliament. The three stages are: the first reading, the second reading, and the third reading.
With this ruling, the earliest possible date for a second reading of the Bill is March 27.
