The Brazilian Constitution provides for a tax which is similar to the wealth tax; it is the Imposto sobre Grandes Fortunas, or IGF. However, the IGF has never been regulated under the Brazilian laws, which is why we suggest translating "wealth tax" as "imposto sobre fortuna" or "imposto sobre a riqueza" to avoid confusion.
