Comparative law notes
Article 103, paragraph 2, of the Brazilian Federal Constitution provides that "Whenever a declaration of unconstitutionality is issued because measures to make a constitutional provision effective are lacking, the relevant branch shall be notified to adopt the necessary measures; in the case of an administrative agency, the order will be for it to do so within thirty days." The Direct Action of Unconstitutionality due to Omission is known in Brazil by its acronym "ADO".
