Definitions of adversarial procedure
used to describe a trial or other hearing at which one party tries to win a case by arguing against another party. This often involves presenting evidence, cross-examining witnesses, and trying to show that evidence presented by the other party is not true etc.
Keep in mind this is not supposed to be an adversarial procedure.
