Definitions of legal disability

English

a situation that means that a person may not stand trial or take legal action on their own behalf. For example, in Australia a person is under a legal disability if they are under 18, or have an intellectual or physical disability or both, usually as a result of accident, injury or illness.

Funds awarded to a person under a legal disability can be administered on their behalf by an Associate Judge of the Court.
