Definitions of registered check
(US) a check (=a signed written order by its maker directing a bank to pay a specified sum to a named person) issued and guaranteed by a bank or other financial institution for a customer who provides the money for payment of the check
A registered check is not subject to the same holding period used for other types of checks.
