Definitions of demurrer
a written objection or challenge to a pleading filed by an opposing party in a lawsuit on the grounds that the claims made do not provide a legal basis for a lawsuit (even if the claims are true)
Each ground of demurrer must be in a separate paragraph and must state whether it applies to the entire complaint, cross-complaint, or answer, or to specified causes of action or defences.
