Comparative law notes
In Hungarian law, an apparent defect is a defect, which can be objectively observed by simple inspection. Apparent and the latent defects are not specified expressly in the Civil Code. According to the Hungarian Civil Code, the manufacturer is relieved of any warranty obligation if it can prove that the state of scientific and technical knowledge at the time the product was placed into circulation was not such as to enable the existence of the defect to be discovered.
