1. A legally specified period - which is not preclusive - for exercising rights or enforcing claims. 2. As a general rule, lapsed claims cannot be enforced in court. 3. The period of limitation begins to run on the due date of the claim. The rules of suspension and interruption are contained in the Hungarian Civil Code. 4. According to the Hungarian Civil Code, unless otherwise provided, the limitation period is five years. 5. An agreement to change the limitation period must be executed in writing. The limitation cannot be completely excluded.
