1. In Hungary, a domestic partnership means when two persons live together, out of wedlock, in an emotional and financial community in the same household, provided that neither of them is married to, or in a partnership with, another person, whether registered or not, and provided they are not related in a direct line and are not siblings. 2. A civil partnership comes into existence at the time the couple's cohabitation is established. 3. Domestic partners may settle their relationship by means of a contract for the duration of their partnership. The contract is only valid if it is executed in an authentic instrument or in a private document countersigned by an attorney.
