somebody who is an heir (=a person who will receive money, property, assets or a title from someone when that person dies) together with one or more other people
Where the deceased has not made a will and one of two or more coheirs disclaims the inheritance, his or her share of the estate passes to the other heirs as if he or she had predeceased.
