Definitions of claims-made policy
a type of public liability insurance (=insurance for damage or injury to property, health or life as a result of use dangerous objects or work with them) that indemnifies against all claims made during the policy period, no matter when the facts that gave rise to the claim occurred
Claims-made coverage does not cover claims made after the policy expires.
