Definitions of residuary clause
a provision in a will that disposes of property not expressly disposed of by other provisions of the will. A residuary clause is included in a will to avoid a state of partial intestacy (=when a will does not dispose of all of a deceased's assets).
I direct that the residuary clause in my will shall not be deemed to apply to my community interest in the Shares.
