a legal reason for refusing registration of a trademark or service mark because it is likely to be mixed up with a mark or marks which are already registered or pending (=in the process of being registered)
Any actual confusion is minimal, and unreliable stories by a few misguided individuals do not prove that there is a likelihood of confusion.
