Comparative law notes
This English word, in the general sense, means "books and writings published on a particular subject." Obviously, if the context is not clearly legal, then one should add "legal" to "literature". The phrase "legal literature" refers to "the works of lawyers which went beyond mere collections of laws and formulae".
