Comparative law notes
A negotiation method frequently adopted in complex international treaty discussions, whereby parties take an "all or nothing" approach - that is, parties have to agree to either all, or none, of the suggested solutions. This allows parties to feel that each of them gains some and loses some, so that deadlock can be avoided.
