Definitions of compulsory joinder
a situation where several lawsuits or several parties in one lawsuit must be brought together by law. In the US, this will be done if either 1. the other parties to the lawsuit would not otherwise receive complete relief; or 2. the party in question claims some interest in the subject of the action.
The validity of the final decision is not subject to the compulsory joinder of the other parties.
