(US LAW) a person against whom a claimant petitions a US court in one US state to allow a judgment given in another US state to be enforced. In the US, judgments can be recognized and enforced based on the Full Faith and Credit Clause in the United States Constitution.

As used in this chapter: (b) "Judgment debtor" means the person or persons against whom an action to enforce a sister state judgment can be brought.
