Whilst Hong Kong has the Sales of Goods Ordinance, in China the sale of goods is governed by a range of laws, including the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China (effective on 1 January 2021), the Product Quality Law (2018 Amendment) (effective on 29 December 2018) and various other laws and judicial interpretations.
