a partnership (=a legal form of business operation between two or more individuals who share management and profits) with no fixed time limit or with no fixed purpose
The court rejected an argument that a partnership at will had been created between the parties, since the defendant's solicitors had marked correspondence regarding the proposed partnership agreement as "subject to contract".
