Comparative law notes

his is the American English phrase that describes a similar concept in the United States: workers and employers make a payment on each employee paycheck to a government agency that funds and administers a range of government programs providing social services and benefits. The purpose and the effect of the US and German social welfare contributions are identical, even though the scope/amount and actual composition of those contributions are obviously quite different.
