In contract law, "execution" refers to the act of carrying out the terms of a contract ("cumprimento das disposições do contrato") or to the signing of a contract ("celebração do contrato" or "assinatura do contrato"). When referring to "execução de uma obrigação contratual" in the sense of "fazer cumprir uma obrigação contratual", the term "enforcement" should be used.
