Definitions of notice period
(EMPLOYMENT) the amount of notice that must be given by an employer to an employee of termination of employment (=being fired), or that an employee give an employer of resignation (=quitting)
During the statutory notice period, an employer must not reduce the employee's wage rate or alter a term or condition of employment.
(FINANCIAL) the period of time preceding the expiration of a futures contract during which the buyer can be called upon to accept delivery
Holders of long positions on any day within the Notice Period may be delivered against during the delivery month.
